Our Process

Have a communications need? The HR Communications Team stands ready to work with you to design high-quality branded HR collateral pieces. Here’s our process:

  1. Submit a request through the GTHR Communications Intake Form
  2. Expect a response within 3-5 business days
  3. The team member assigned to your request will reach out to discuss the next steps and a timeline.

Our Responsibilities

We serve as consultants to assist with planning, and we can execute any of the communications needs that are part of that plan.

We support with marketing/communications needs by:

  • Identifying the best strategy for your communication or marketing need
  • Providing editorial material or support
  • Ensuring brand and message consistency
  • Protecting user experience
  • Ensure alignment with Institute Communications

We operate as gatekeepers of the GTHR brand. This helps GTHR maintain consistency in how it communicates with all customers.

Our Services & Expectations

Whole Communications Campaign

(4-6 weeks)

This is a project that will take at least 1 month. When you have an event or project you need to launch. This could include developing a communications plan that identifies the most effective steps and channels which may include email marketing, website development, digital signage, and graphic design.

Web Update

(Simple: 1-2 days | Complex: 1-2 weeks)

Did you spot a typo? Do you need a quick text or form update? Or, is there some content you want to add to our website? Will it require a new page, new information, or a rebranded look for an existing resource?

Email Distribution

(1 week)

Do you have a message you need to share with one of our audiences? We will help you craft the language and find the optimal audience and timing to get the message out. For audiences smaller than 250, we will review content only. For audiences larger than 250 we will also distribute the email. 

Content Creation & Brand Support

(1 week)

Do you need our expert eyes or support for your:

  • PowerPoint presentation,
  • Email, Content
  • Form
  • General communications?

We will review everything from colors to comma usage. We will help you deliver the most impactful message, while amplifying our brand.

News Items

(1-5 days)

Story ideas, projects, campaign or deadlines that need to be shared with campus? We’ll serve as your editors and liasons to get the story shared. Common communications channels

  • The Daily Digest – Distributed Daily to alumni, students, faculty and staff)
  • The Whistle – Distributed biweekly to all active employees
  • Newsletters – Staff Council. A&F, PLN, HR Partners, GTRI, OIT, I&S
Listservs and Email Accounts

(4 to 6 weeks)

Would you like a shared inbox for your team or department use? Do you need an automated list to contact a specific audience? We can help with that. This requires our collaboration with OIT partners. We’ll need 1 to 2 weeks.
