Georgia Tech Human Resources is delighted to announce the start of the 2025 Inclusive Leaders Academy (ILA) nomination process.
ILA, now seeking members for its ninth cohort, cultivates professional leadership and legacy development for Georgia Tech people leaders. Upon completion of the program, members of this cohort will join more than 550 previous cohort members as practicing Culture Champions.
Ana Rusch, research faculty, associate director of inclusive excellence in the College of Computing, and member of Cohort 8, said the program develops leaders who understand the world around them and can better engage with it.
“ILA allowed us to explore our daily biases both multidimensionally and comprehensively to better understand them. Then we can engage in constructive conversations and create counter-bias pathways. Every workshop and module opened new conversations,” Rusch said. “The value you get from this program is not just from the incredible content, but also the facilitators, the community created with other participants, and the program leadership team. I have been a part of countless inclusive programs outside of Georgia Tech, but none can compare to the Inclusive Leaders Academy.”
Since the program’s 2017 launch, ILA has become a top leadership development program for staff and faculty at Georgia Tech. It is also vital to the Institute’s strategic plan goals of cultivating inclusive leadership and retaining and developing a world-class workforce, where everyone feels supported, valued, respected, productive, and engaged.
ILA employs a curriculum to improve self-awareness, social intelligence, and courage. The self-paced program gives participants the opportunity and space to be self-reflective, while offering practical tools to integrate into their leadership practice.
The 2025 cohort experience will run from February to May. To nominate yourself or a colleague, fill out this form. Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, Oct. 31. The selected nominees will receive email notification in mid-November to confirm their acceptance and participation.
