Eighth Cohort Develops 60 New Culture Champions
The Inclusive Leaders Academy (ILA) celebrates the conclusion of its eighth cohort with a virtual keynote centered on self-compassion.
The Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) Organizational Culture team is committed to nurturing an inclusive workplace culture through signature initiatives like ILA. More than 500 leaders have completed the program earning the designation of “Culture Champion.”
This 14-week program supports people leaders in developing global competencies and expanding their capacity to create inclusive and engaging workplace cultures. The 2024 program marks the completion of ILA’s eighth cohort.
On Thursday, May 16, the Organizational Culture team is hosting a closing celebration for ILA’s eighth cohort of Culture Champions, and it is open to members of the Georgia Tech community including previous ILA Culture Champions and Georgia Tech people leaders. The celebration will feature an interactive virtual keynote from Professor Kristin Neff on Thursday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. During her session titled “Mindful Self-Compassion: Leading with Care for Self and Others,” Neff will guide participants through a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, illuminating the vital intersection between personal well-being and effective leadership. This keynote promises to equip attendees with key insights and habits to foster compassionate leadership.
Neff’s groundbreaking work in self-compassion has garnered widespread acclaim, earning her recognition in prestigious publications such as The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Harvard Business Review. Her TEDx talk, viewed over 1.7 million times, has sparked conversations around the globe, inspiring individuals to embrace the transformative power of self-compassion. As the co-developer of the empirically supported Mindful Self-Compassion training program, Neff has empowered thousands worldwide to cultivate resilience and compassion in their personal and professional lives.
