As the year comes to a close, many of us reflect on personal and professional goals and whether we realized the resolutions and objectives we set for ourselves many months ago.

At Georgia Tech, staff have the advantage of using a digitized system to help track annual career goals. In fact, Dec. 1, 2025 – Jan. 31, 2026 is the annual self-assessment period when staff should log in to review the goals they set earlier in the year and prepare for evaluations conducted by their supervisors.

Using Performance Management @Tech, a module in ServiceNow, staff and their supervisors can track goals, monitor progress, and submit evaluations in one place.

Through Nov. 28, staff can revisit and update goals set at the beginning of the year. Then, beginning Dec. 1, staff can complete their self-assessments.

The self-assessment allows staff to review their own performance and outline their accomplishments, which helps supervisors facilitate the annual evaluation.

Performance Management @Tech supports the Institute’s goal of supporting staff development and performance. It also brings us closer to realizing our ability to leverage performance in a more meaningful way as we consider the reward phase of the performance management process.

The upcoming phases of the performance cycle at Tech are:

  • Dec. 1, 2025 – Jan. 31, 2026 | 2025 Self-Assessment Period
  • Dec. 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026 | 2026 Goal Setting
  • Feb. 1 – March 31, 2026 | 2025 Annual Performance Evaluations
