W-2s Are Coming. Is Your Tax Info Current?
The end of the year will be here before we know it, and that means W-2s are coming. It’s imperative that your tax information is accurate to ensure you receive your documents and you can file your taxes with confidence.
Review your tax and personal information
Under Payroll > Pay > Paycheck:
- Tax data (marital status, state, etc.)
- Taxes (federal withholding, state withholding, etc.)
For information on tax withholdings and a step-by-step guide for accessing and updating important tax forms, including your W-2, W-4, and G-4, click here.
Attention: In light of recent fraudulent payroll activity, employees should regularly verify their direct deposit information is accurate. In a few cases, scammers have been successful in rerouting paychecks to their own account. View direct deposit information through OneUSG Connect, under Payroll > View Direct Deposit.
It’s also important to keep personal information up to date so that any sensitive documents are accurately delivered and the details that impact your state and federal income taxes are accurate. Have you had a change of address? Did you gain or lose a dependent? Take a moment to review your record and make any necessary adjustments.
To make changes to any of your tax and personal details, login to OneUSG Connect and select the “Payroll” and/or “Personal Details” tiles.
Under Personal Details:
- Name
- Home and mailing addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
Please note: While you will still be able to view most of your information through the OneUSG Connect Employee Self-Service portal, updates to your information will only be possible when you are physically present on campus and connected to Georgia Tech’s network.
If you are unable to be physically present on campus or need further assistance, please contact the Administrative Services Center (ASC) by calling 404.385.1111, emailing support@asc.gatech.edu, or submitting a general HR request through the Administrative Services portal.
