Useful Tax Season Reminders
With the tax deadline closing in, it is a good time for faculty and staff to review and update the details that impact your tax status. Have you had a change of address? Did you gain or lose a dependent? Take a moment to review your record and make any necessary adjustments.
It is a best practice to keep your personal information updated regularly in OneUSG Connect to ensure the details that impact your state and federal income taxes are accurate.
Review your personal and tax information through OneUSG Connect
To make changes to any of your personal and payroll details, login to OneUSG Connect and select the “Payroll” and/or “Personal Details” tiles. Here is a checklist of items to review for accuracy:
Under Personal Details
- Name
- Home and mailing addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
Under Payroll > Pay > Paycheck
- Earnings/pay rate
- Social security number (SSN)
- Tax data (marital status, state, etc.)
- Taxes (federal withholding, state withholding, etc.)
Please note: While you will still be able to view most of your information through the OneUSG Connect Employee Self-Service portal, updates to your information will only be possible when you are physically present on campus and connected to Georgia Tech’s network.
