Return to Normal Operations | Supervisor Guidance
The following GTENS alert was shared today at 1:09 p.m.
Georgia Tech will resume normal operations on Saturday, Sept. 28.
We recognize that many in the campus community are experiencing difficult circumstances due to the effects of the tropical storm. Employees are encouraged to contact supervisors as soon as possible to discuss any difficulties returning to work.
Updates regarding modified operations for Friday are available at gatech.edu/emergency/weather/updates.
If employees are experiencing difficulties due to impacts from the storm, they should communicate with their supervisors and request time away to address their extenuating circumstances. If staff need to use time off, all requests should be submitted and approved through OneUSG Connect under Employee Self-Service within the “Time and Absence” tile. Please note that with campus returning to normal operations, inclement weather hours are no longer applicable.
Supervisors may also employ flexible work arrangements to grant their team members some grace at this time. These include a compressed workweek, flextime or telecommuting options.
Be mindful to offer the Acentra Health Employee Assistance Program as additional support for the employee’s well-being during this time. Reference resources for supporting employees and families at benefits.hr.gatech.edu/employee-assistance-program/
Supervisors and employees with questions should call 404.385.1111 or submit a ticket through the Administrative Services portal. Please continue to take caution on the roadways and check in on our fellow yellow jackets.
