Student Hiring Improvement Project

In November 2020 Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) launched an initiative to review and improve the Student Hiring process across the Institute. This project is just one element of an 18- to 24-month plan to build an office within GTHR to support the full student employment experience.

This site serves as a resource for anyone interested in or involved with the project. Check back often for updates.

This project will measurably improve the student hiring process across Georgia Tech by:

  1. Decreasing the time it takes to hire a student;
  2. Increasing transparency around each step of the hiring process; and
  3. Developing detailed, end-to-end, useful operating procedures for hiring students that live in one, publicized, accessible location

  • All of our work is undertaken in support of students.
  • We will operate with transparency and collaboration with campus partners.
  • We will relentlessly pursue excellence, efficiency, and consistency.
