	Student Hiring Improvement Project \| New Student Resources July 1, 2021 The Fall semester is approaching and Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) remains committed to improving the student employee experience at Georgia Tech. In the spring, the Student Hiring Improvement Project released new resources to support student employees, including a 2021 Payroll Calendar and “Understanding Your Paycheck” Resource Guide. Today, we are excited to announce additional resources are now available.
	Student Hiring Improvement Project \| Fall Hiring Resources June 1, 2021 Like many of you, Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) is already planning for Fall student hiring! We are excited to announce new hiring department resources as a part of our ongoing campus-wide effort to improve the student hiring experience. Additionally, we have compiled some tips and reminders for student hiring success.
	Student Hiring Improvement Project \| Phase 1 Launch April 1, 2021 Last November,Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) kicked off the Student Hiring Process Improvement project, an initiative to review and improve student hiring across the Institute. Today, it is with great pleasure that we announce the launch of Phase I improvements
	Student Employee Voices Needed. Apply Now! (Georgia Tech Student Advisory Board) March 19, 2021 Do you want to be part of the student employee experience improvement efforts at Tech? The Georgia Tech Student Employee Advisory Board is a newly formed group that will guide Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) on matters related to the on-campus student employee experience. The board will provide feedback on how to best support student employees, identify student employment challenges, and recommend potential solutions and improvements.
	Improving Georgia Tech's Student Hiring Process March 19, 2021 Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) continues improvement work to demonstrate students are indeed our top priority. Student employees comprise more than half of Georgia Tech’s total workforce, so it is critical that they experience the most seamless hiring process we can possibly provide.
	You're Invited: Student Hiring Improvement Project Focus Group January 22, 2021 Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) recently launched a new initiative to review and improve the Student Hiring process across the Institute. The Student Hiring Improvement Project will complete a comprehensive review of current processes, identify areas of opportunity, and design improvements to student hiring. We will implement initial process improvements in time for the Summer 2021 student hiring season.
	Change to Student Assistant Time Reporting January 21, 2021 During a recent audit, a system error was discovered that only impacts Resident Asstants (RAs) who have additional Student Assistant (SA) positions. The error removed the required security protocols from these students’ time keeping methods, incorrectly providing them with the ability to ‘back date’ and edit their own time reporting documents. This error is being corrected for those RAs who are also SA Web Clock users, and the change will go into eﬀect on January 24.
	Register Now: Student Transactions Training in January Dec. 17, 2020 At Georgia Tech, student employees play an important part in supporting research endeavors, academic pursuits, and many roles in-between. To ensure students are hired and paid through OneUSG Connect, it is critical to understand the correct processes for entering student transactions.
	Save the Dates: Student Employment Command Center Dec. 4, 2020 Earlier this week, we shared a message announcing two new resources: the Student Hiring Tool Kit and the Student Employment Command Center. Today, as promised, we are providing meeting details for the command center below.
	Announcement: New Student Hiring Toolkit and Command Center Nov. 30, 2020 As the current semester winds down, Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) is planning for Spring student hiring. At any given time, Georgia Tech employs over 7,000 students and hires thousands each semester. Student hiring is a large, campus-wide effort and a process GTHR is dedicated to continuously improving.

The actual message contains a time-sensitive request for graduate student employees. No action is needed on your part; we are sharing this communication for your awareness only.
	Onboarding Procedures for New Employees \| Aug 17-21 Aug. 14, 2020 GradHiring ends today, but we know your employee and student employee onboarding needs may continue. Below we outline how all employees can best engage with Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) next week (August 17-21).
	Hiring Students for Fall Semester? READ THIS Aug. 5, 2020 HR UPDATE HIRING NEW STUDENT EMPLOYEES Do you have new student employees this semester? Prior to starting their new position, student employees need to complete an online Student Hire packet, followed by mandatory in-person onboarding. Students who have worked for Georgia Tech within the last 24 months or are supported on fellowships administered through the Bursar’s office do not need to complete new hire onboarding."

	We Need YOU for GradHiring 2020 July 29, 2020 The fall semester is almost here! Even with all the current uncertainty in the world, we know very soon there will be hundreds of newly hired student employees who will need to complete their onboarding process before they can begin working. We need your help to make sure that our students have a positive employment experience at Georgia Tech.

	Student Pay Challenges -Temporary Path for Off-Cycle Checks June 10, 2020 We recently learned a number of employees have not been paid due to various challenges related to the timing and processing of their new hire paperwork. Ensuring all Georgia Tech employees are accurately paid on time is our highest priority. To expedite payroll processing for impacted employees, GTHR will temporarily ease some off-cycle payroll restrictions for June 2020.

The webinar, hosted by the Office of Graduate Studies, will cover relevant information for HR representatives, academic advisors, provisioned initiators, and finance representatives about the new process to hire graduate students for summer 2020 through OneUSG Connect.
	Federal Work Study (FWS) Non-Closure Emergency Leave - Time Reporting Codes April 3, 2020 We appreciate your understanding and patience as we communicate new decisions resulting from the global health crisis. We recognize there is significant change happening on campus, and thank you for your ability to adjust and adapt to these quickly evolving realities.
	Advance Notice: Federal Work Study (FWS) Time Reporting Codes April 3, 2020 On March 26 we shared a message to Georgia Tech employees regarding the implementation of Non-Closure Emergency Leave for 30 days effective March 30, 2020 through May 2, 2020. Momentarily we will send the attached details on how time should be reported for Federal Work Study (FWS) employees. This message will go to all FWS students and their managers/supervisors.
	Advance Notice: Message to Student Employees April 3, 2020 On March 26 we shared a message to Georgia Tech employees regarding non-closure emergency leave. Today, we would like to clarify the expectations regarding non-federal work study student employees and student employees who are not on teaching and/or research assistantships. Momentarily we will distribute the attached message to all student employees and their supervisors.
	UPDATED - Students and OneUSG Connect March 10, 2020 We are distributing this message widely (especially to student employees), however, it will be helpful if you share this throughout your units. For questions, email erp.readiness@gatech.edu.
	ACTION: New Student Job Codes\| OneUSG Connect February 11, 2020 To ensure our data aligns with the correct pay frequency, pay groups, and IPEDS as we move to OneUSG Connect, the team needs to change job codes for a portion of our student population. These changes will be effective immediately and will not require a PSF. Position and job data will be updated. ACTION: Below you will find new student codes. Begin using them immediately. Additionally, please share this message with employees who hire students.
